Electronic band Heartsrevolution created one of a kind logo by scanning metal studs to spell out their name. This embodied their punk DIY values, but as their brand scaled it made it difficult to use for market, web, and print projects. After years of being tweaked, adjusted, scanned, and copied the graphic became so degraded far beyond further use.
As their designer, I wanted to digitize the logo so I could use it for large scale printing projects, hi resolution web design screens, and to have a full set of characters to be able to spell other words for new design elements.
I created a copy of the original stud they had scanned in Vector format so that it could fully scale in size, then constructed a typography set with a full alphabet, numbers, and characters.
